AOC presents the new 27-inch 1440p CQ27G2S/BK VA curved gaming monitor with 165hz VRR

AOC has just announced a brand new gaming monitor with VA curved panel. Below you can find all the info we have on their new CQ27G2S/BK 1440p model.

AOC has recently introduced their latest monitor, the CQ27G2S/BL. This monitor boasts a 27-inch curved display with a 1500R VA technology panel, offering a crisp 1440p resolution and an impressive 165Hz refresh rate. It's primarily designed for mid-tier gaming enthusiasts and comes equipped with sought-after features like adaptive-sync for variable refresh rates and a blur reduction mode that achieves a remarkable 1ms MPRT specification.

Measuring 27 inches diagonally, this screen features a gentle 1500R curvature. It utilizes a VA technology panel that delivers a sharp 2560 x 1440 resolution, a responsive 4ms G2G response time, a high 4000:1 contrast ratio, a brightness of 250 cd/m2, wide 178/178 viewing angles, an 8-bit color depth, and an extended color gamut that covers 99% of the sRGB and 90% of the DCI-P3 color spaces.

The monitor's impressive 165Hz refresh rate is complemented by adaptive-sync technology, which ensures variable refresh rate support for compatible NVIDIA and AMD systems. Additionally, it offers a blur reduction mode featuring a strobing backlight that achieves a lightning-fast 1ms MPRT specification.

The stand provides complete ergonomics with tilt, height, and swivel adjustments, although it lacks pivot functionality due to the curved design. In terms of connectivity, you'll find 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, along with an audio output for added convenience. The monitor will be launched later this year and its pricing should be set at a little under $300.
