AOC Q27G3XMN is a new VA MiniLED 1440p 180hz budget gaming monitor

Below you can find info on AOC's brand new VA MiniLED gaming monitor called the Q27G3XMN. It should be made available for purchase at a later date this year.

AOC has introduced the Q27G3XMN, a 27-inch gaming monitor in the Chinese market. This monitor relies on a VA panel and incorporates an impressive 336 local dimming zones, ensuring a remarkable peak brightness for both SDR and HDR content. As a result, the gaming monitor proudly carries the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, boasting anticipated luminance levels of 450 nits for SDR content and an impressive 700 nits for HDR content.

It's important to clarify that while VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification signifies a monitor's capability to reach 1,000 nits, the AOC Q27G3XMN achieves this brightness across only 10% of its panel at any given time. Furthermore, the Q27G3XMN features a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, along with a swift 1 ms response time (GtG) and a native refresh rate of 144 Hz. If connected through DisplayPort (DP1.4), the monitor can achieve an enhanced refresh rate of 180 Hz. However, this capability is limited to 144 Hz when utilizing its HDMI 2.0 ports.

In terms of color performance, the monitor covers an impressive 96% of the DCI-P3 color space and incorporates support for AMD FreeSync Premium, effectively minimizing image tearing during gaming sessions. As for its global availability, AOC has yet to provide official statements regarding the Q27G3XMN's international release. Nevertheless, considering the recent precedent set by the AGON Pro AG276QZD, a global launch could be on the horizon. While pricing details remain undisclosed for the Chinese market, the inclusion of Mini LED backlights suggests that the monitor may position itself at the higher end of the price spectrum.

The AOC Q27G3XMN is currently available for pre-order on Amazon. It will start shipping starting from September the 1st for $310.
