ASUS presents the ROG Strix XG49WCR 49" ultrawide gaming monitor

At CES 2023 ASUS has just announced a brand new ultrawide gaming monitor with an 32:9 aspect ratio. The monitor is great for those that are looking to get rid of two monitor setup but don't want to lose any functionality. This model will be released later this year and it will most probably cost somewhere over $1000 when it happens.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG49WCR offers a 49-inch IPS Screen, 32:9 aspect ratio (basically translates to two 16:9 displays), Smart KVM switch, 5120 x 1440 resolution, 1800R screen curvature, excellent wide viewing angles, USB Type-C port with support for 65W power delivery, HDMI 2.0 port, DisplayPort 1.4 input, RJ-45 ethernet port, 165hz variable refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, 125% sRGB color gamut, less than 2 for the DeltaE value for color reproduction, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification and more. There are no details about the monitor's ergonomics, but we think that it will at least offer height adjustments.

The monitor's size makes it an excellent choice for those looking to game and get one of most immersive gaming experiences possible. We will have more info on this gaming monitor when ASUS releases the complete specification list. Note that the monitor offers Adaptive Sync technology which means that it will be compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync.
Keep an eye on our website for more info on this monitor's release date, pricing and availability.
