Philips has officially announced their own QD-OLED Evnia gaming monitor. Check below to learn more about its specs, availability and release date.
The newly launched Philips Evnia 32M2N8900, a 32″ QD-OLED monitor from the Philips Evnia 8000 series. This monitor features a 3840 x 2160 "4K" resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, all housed in a distinctive white design. It also boasts top-tier features like Philips' exclusive ‘Ambiglow’ lighting system, which syncs with the on-screen content for an enhanced viewing experience.
The monitor is 31.5″ in size with a flat panel, built around Samsung Display’s third-generation QD-OLED technology. It offers a 3840 x 2160 "4K" resolution, an ultra-fast 0.03ms G2G response time, an impressive 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio, 250 nits brightness (SDR, 100% APL), and wide 178/178 viewing angles. The display supports 10-bit color depth and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and it comes factory-calibrated with a dE <2.
The panel’s 240Hz refresh rate is paired with adaptive-sync for smooth variable refresh rates on compatible systems. For HDR content, the screen delivers a peak brightness of 1000 nits and is certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black.
In terms of connectivity, the monitor includes 1x DisplayPort, 1x USB Type-C (supporting DP Alt mode, data transfer, and 90W power delivery), 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, 2x USB data ports, and an audio output. It also features dual 5W integrated speakers with DTS sound. The monitor comes with a 3-year warranty that includes burn-in coverage.
Philips’ Ambiglow technology adds an immersive dimension to your viewing by creating a halo of light around the monitor that matches the content on the screen. This technology is particularly effective for movies, sports, and gaming, enhancing the overall experience. To improve user comfort, the monitor features a height-adjustable stand with ergonomic options such as tilt and swivel adjustments. It also includes LowBlue mode and Flicker-Free technology to reduce potential eye strain caused by blue light and screen flicker. The Philips Evnia 32M2N8900 should be available for purchase this October in the UK and rest of Europe.
