ViewSonic has officially announced a brand new OLED 1440p QHD monitor that will be available only in China at first. The monitor's worldwide rollout should happen some time this year.
As the name suggests, the VX2776-2K-OLED boasts an OLED panel that ViewSonic rounds up to 27 inches in size. However, in reality, the panel measures 26.5 inches, a common practice in modern gaming monitors. Nevertheless, ViewSonic combines this OLED panel with a native resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and an impressive 240 Hz refresh rate, matching the specifications of the ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQDM. In addition to its remarkable refresh rate, the VX2776-2K-OLED boasts a swift 0.03 ms GtG response time, inherent to OLED panels. It also offers a peak brightness of 1,000 nits when viewing HDR content and covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color space. ViewSonic has thoughtfully integrated AMD FreeSync and AMD Adaptive Sync software to minimize image tearing during high-refresh-rate gaming. In terms of connectivity, the VX2776-2K-OLED includes a single USB Type-C port, along with two DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 connections.
This monitor ensures an optimal gaming experience by incorporating AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync technologies to eliminate screen tearing. It places user comfort at the forefront with its anti-glare and low reflection properties, while also enhancing the gaming ambiance with rear ambient lighting. Navigating through its settings is effortless thanks to a user-friendly five-directional joystick button.
Furthermore, the monitor delivers an immersive audio experience with its integrated 2x3W speakers. It is supported by a sturdy metal stand that offers a wide range of adjustments, including tilt, height, swivel, and rotation options.
The monitor is currently only available in China. However, details about the global availability and release date of the VX2776-2K-OLED remain uncertain at this time.
